Happy Birthday Auntie, if you're peeking!
The best birthday I ever had was when I turned 40 and husband put up balloons and signs in the yard and all over the house and I had a double layer Boston Cream Pie birthday "cake." That one and the 5th birthday that started my musical career with a one octave electronic keyboard and big pink slippers. Any good b-day stories?

One christmas, my husband and I were discussing the xmas traditions (or lack of) that our families did. My mom used to send us on scavenger hunts all over our 5 acres for presents. We loved it!
4 months later, on my birthday, my husband left for work at 4a as usual. When I got up, I found the card he'd left me on the counter. Inside was the first clue. I thought, "How sweet, he remembered the scavenger hunt. It'll be a coupla clues then a present."
It was SEVEN clues that ended up with tickets to The Producers! (He hates musicals. So sweet!)
nice socks!! good job!!
she will be very happy!
I actually said, "Oh, what pretty socks!" when the picture popped up. I've been lucky to have lots of great birthdays--I have a terrific husband whose rather dramatic in his gestures.
Woohoo! FOs!
I don't usually have very eventful birthdays, and when they are eventful it's not in a good way. I try to travel, but that doesn't stop things like "shock and awe" starting on my special day. Now 4th of July, on the other hand, is always fun and I'm not super patriotic or anything. It's just that good times always happen on that day. :)
