on the street where I live

In the continuing series of photos from the fiber festival, these were the colors just "hanging out" on the street where I live. (well maybe 1/2 mile away) I have indeed been knitting. I'm swatching the new handspun and have about 14 inches on the Rowan Chunky vest. All will be revealed in good time. Meanwhile, it's "movie day" at school, 12 days left, 11 1/2 hour classes in 6 hours and a partridge in a pear tree.

Our school district has been in 'movie day mode' since the PSSAs in March;)!!

Cool, I'm glad that the institution of "movie day" is still alive and well in America's schools. It was definitely my favorite time of year. Those of you in Pennsylvania, do you still show the 'how chocolate is made' movie? OMG, that was my favorite!

Since I actually teach in West Virginia, "How chocolate is made" (I live in PA near the border) is not available. (We're a poor state) Instead I'm using a data projector and letting them see what they looked like at the Christmas program. It took a good bit of prep time this weekend but I will be swatching new handspun while they laugh at themselves!

You know, those of us who are parents instead of teachers are not nearly as excited about the end of the school year as you teachers seem to be!
