Having just had one of those PMS, I have a $100 bill, I think I'll stop at Barnes and Noble moments, it suddenly occurred to me that it might be interesting to find out the "knitting books to items knitted from them" ratio. (kbtikftR) I'm feeling a CMUNS (crack me up not Saturday) post in the near future.

I just got starry eyed thinking of spending 100 bucks at BN
I had that same wonder about knitting magazines. I decided that my subscriptions had best start producing equitable amounts of projects in comparision.
Hmmm. Interesting idea. Scary. (Considers a future that never includes buying another knitting book or magazine. Changes the subject.)
