CMUS-Happy Thanksgiving Canada Friends

As much as I hate to post after my lolcatz post- for some reason I believe every knitter should see this brilliant photo montage- must be my delusions of grandeur- I did find a Crack Me Up Saturday post. Knitting Knot's post about Orange Fanta from Poland (who knew you couldn't get it in North America?) made me think of one of the funniest souvenirs from my South Africa adventure.

This Crack Me up Saturday is dedicated to the Marketing Geniuses working for Roseland Farms and Garlic-O-Butt

Just so you don't think there were alterations for the sake of humor, here's a closer look at the lablel.

The Lily Sugar and Cream is for the Ballband Dishcloth Bandwagon that I've decided to jump on for Christmas gifts. Me and dishcloths? That cracks me up. I have visions of adding little Bath and Body Shop treats that match the colors. Me and planning ahead? That cracks me up.

Garlic-o-Butt? Oh, the possibilities for bad jokes are endless! Especially with the garlic-loving crew I've got around here.

great cmus! Yea for you for thinking ahead! I have a knitted dish cloth and I love it, so much better than the cheapo's they sell at walmart.

I probably do christmas like I did Emmy's b-day, shopped the night before, wrapped 15 minutes before she opened them. Or maybe not...

I think I must have found your blog after your SA adventure, but I'd love to read about it. Approximately where is it in your archives? My older son spent his semester abroad in 2005 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg; #2 son and I joined him at the end of the semester and we played tourist for 8 days. Cape Town, the CGH, the Garden Route from Mossel Bay to East London, then overland to P'burg and Joburg.

I don't remember seeing Garlic Butt, though :)

Garlic-o-butt is WAY funnier than Vegemite!

Nice colors you picked out for making dishcloths, too!

OMG...garlic-o-butt? Sounds like a bad Irish name! Yeesh!!

Garlic O'Butt! It's Irish & Italian. I love a funny product name. There's a hand cream called "Crack Cream." In Italy, there is a bread called "Bimbo." One year my parents put a can of Spam in my stocking, but it wasn't Spam brand, it was called "Assi." Assi meat in a can.

Too Funny! It would go over big time at my place, we cook with a lot of garlic. I am cooking a nice ham for tonight's Thanks Giving dinner. Ham tonight means split pea 'n ham soup tomorrow YUM!!

Ingredients are margarine and garlic- maybe when it's not really butter they just call it "butt."

It has to be a deliberate joke, doesn't it? No one is that much of a 'straight man', are they?
