Things I did yesterday-
Discovered the Clairton/Elizabeth/Glassport areas around Pittsburgh.
Treadled a 4-treadle Loom
Ate homemade whole wheat buns on ham bbq sandwiches.
Learned what Bumbleberry Pie was.
Spun some lumpy yarn on my own spinning wheel.
Tried out a Turkish drop spindle.
Saw a nostepinne in action.
Forgot my camera.
What a great day! All thanks to Lydee, her mama, and her Aunt Jen.
Mmmmm, pie! Great day.
ReplyDeleteI just saw your knitters against bush button. CMU!
May I steal your Knitters Against Bush button? It belongs on my blog, too.
ReplyDeleteInstructions for a nostepinne? I just started winding on mine when I got it. But it was kinda reassuring to see that I'm doing it *right*.
Glad you had fun, pie always improves my day...
ReplyDeletePie! Sometimes a full day leaves no room for photodocumentation. :-)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm pie. Don't you absolutely love days like that?

ReplyDeleteWow, I learned so much from your post. First, now I know what Bumbleberry pie is. I've been making these mixed berry/fruit pies for years and never knew there was a special name for it. Second, I now know what a nostepinne is. I can't get past that goofy name. Three, I noticed your Knitters Against Bush button? May I steal it? (of course saving it to my own server)
ReplyDeleteI stole the button (copied and pasted into my blog) from someone without permission! Steal away.

ReplyDeletemmmmmm, pie....
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the link to the nostepinne instructions! I have a lovely one I bought at the Evelyn Clark lace retreat several months ago, saw how to use it, and thought, "Oh, I can do that." I promptly got it home and couldn't figure it out! Now maybe I can try and actually USE the silly thing! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you get the puppy and kitten?? And my curiosity is killin me- whats up with the deleted comments??? Do I need to beat someone up for you?
