CPH Seamed and Steamed

Also we're starting a petition in this household to change the name of the "Emergency Room" to "The Place To Go When Medical Attention Is Required Sooner Rather Than Later Room." It's a little longer but would likely alleviate much anxiety.

I second the motion for the name change.

  3. I can't wait to see CPH on you! Looking good!

As for the name change, definitely. BTW - I have found that rattlesnake bites and infants with possible strangulated hernias gets you in asap. An ambulance for chest pains also gets you immediate attention if you're willing to fork out the $100/mile or whatever it is to get you there.

    Just saying.

  4. It's done, it's done, it's done! And it looks good! I can't wait to see it on you--you will model it for us, right?

I find that screaming loudly and vomiting (preferably on a nurse, though the floor will do in a pinch) gets one into an exam room faster than you might otherwise expect. Also, removing a bandage to show that there is actually blood spurting from some part of your body works pretty well, though not quite as well as you might hope.

Yay for the CPH! I'm showering virtual confetti upon you. Who doesn't like confetti at the end of a project?

And about the name change - amen! Especially considering how many not-so-emergent emergencies there are in those waiting rooms.
